Traveling to Palm Beach County for Lipo 360 — A Realistic Plan for Your Stay

Some patients travel from elsewhere in Florida or out of state. That can work well — with enough time on the ground, a companion, and a clear plan for aftercare at home. If those pieces don’t fit, we’ll say so before you book a flight. Results vary.

Nearest major airport: Palm Beach International (PBI) · Recommended local stay: set by your surgeon

Sample itinerary

What a stay may look like

Illustrative only. Your surgeon sets the actual timeline, including when it’s safe to fly or drive long distances.

Virtual pre-consult: medical history review, labs or clearance from your home physician per your written pre-op instructions, and a tentative date.

In-person consultation/exam and pre-op visit at our Greenacres office. Final plan and consent. The surgery date is confirmed only after this exam.

Procedure day. Your procedure location is confirmed at your free consultation. Your companion takes you to your lodging and stays with you.

Post-op visit at our Greenacres office on a timeline your surgeon will advise.

Rest, walk, garment care. Remain within reach of the office until Michael Clerveus, MD clears travel.

Travel home with your companion. Later follow-ups can be virtual or with your local physician per your written plan.

Must-haves

Before you book travel

  • An adult companion for the trip and the first days after surgery, as your surgeon advises
  • Refundable or changeable travel — surgery is confirmed only after the in-person exam
  • Lodging close to the office; we don’t receive referral fees unless disclosed
  • A plan for local aftercare at home and who you’ll call if something feels wrong
  • Travel clearance from Michael Clerveus, MD before flying

Travel safety

Why we’re careful about flying after surgery

Blood-clot risk

Long periods of sitting after surgery can raise clot risk. Your plan may include walking breaks, hydration, compression, and other measures in your written plan.

Swelling & comfort

Garments and swelling make long trips uncomfortable early on. Aisle seats help.

Complications away from home

If a concern arises after you leave, call our office at 561-363-5538; for emergencies, go to the nearest ER.

Not a vacation

Sun, pools, alcohol, and long sightseeing days don’t mix with early recovery.
