Pre-op visit

Procedure day
You’ll need a responsible adult to drive you home and, typically, to stay with you the first night.
Follow-ups
Your surgeon sets your follow-up schedule — early visits matter most; don’t skip them because of distance.
Recovering at home in another city
Most patients recover at home. If your drive is long, plan the first ride home with extra pillows, your garment on, and a stop-free route. Our line at 561-363-5538 is answered 24/7, including after hours. For a medical emergency, call 911.
Fewer trips, same care
Ask the coordinator to group pre-op tasks and schedule follow-ups outside peak traffic. What we won’t do is skip a follow-up a surgeon considers necessary to save a drive.
